Examination Rules

• Unit tests are conducted in May and December, along with terminal examinations in September and February.
• Students absent from an examination without a valid reason will be marked as failed. In case of illness, a medical certificate must be submitted, though it does not guarantee promotion.
• All school dues must be cleared before appearing for any examination.
• Copying, carrying unauthorized materials, or any misconduct during exams will lead to penalties such as detention, expulsion, or paper cancellation.
• Applications for rechecking marks may be allowed in special cases at the Principal’s discretion.
• Music, craft, dance, and physical education are graded based on year-round participation and performance, without formal end-term exams.

Promotion Policy

• Students must have at least 75% attendance to be eligible for promotion. The Principal may condone up to 10% of attendance shortage in exceptional cases. Promotion is based on:

1. Regular attendance and participation in class.
2. Quality of assignments, projects, and written work.
3. Results from terminal examinations and unit tests.
4. Teachers’ feedback on the student’s progress.

• Students failing in one or two subjects can still be promoted if they secure at least 33% in each failed subject and maintain an overall aggregate of 40%.
• Results announced at the end of the year are final and will not be reconsidered.
• A student failing twice in the same class must discontinue their studies at the school.

Note: Parents are required to sign progress report cards and attend parent-teacher meetings to stay informed about their child’s academic progress.
